Siena and I left the Sunday Markets, and went to the hotel my parents were staying in. I asked the front desk if they had checked in yet, and they did! They made it! I was so excited to see them! So Siena and I took the elevator up to the third floor, and next thing I knew, I was in my parents arms. I was seriously so happy to see them.
We relaxed in their room for a bit, and then gave them the chance to see what a hostel looks like! Boy did they just love it!
After we showed them where we were staying, we decided to walk around a bit.
While walking, we did not have to go far to find this gorgeous cathedral, which was open to walk around. On display were the different kneeling mats that different people used, such as the mayor, archbishop, and so on. It was really pretty inside, and I am glad we could walk around!
The huge pipe organ!
After touring the cathedral, we decided to walk down to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) Stadium. Word on the street was that it is open day, and anyone could enter the stadium for free, have a tour, look in the locker rooms, and just enjoy the day at the stadium. So we decided to go. We were welcomed by Freddo the Frog, and we were handed some delicious chocolates.
This is the field that the Hawthorn Hawks from Melbourne won the Australian Football League Grand Final on.

The follow day, we had a city sights tour planned. Our tour guide drove us around Melbourne, and showed us all of the important buildings, and the cool spots to see. Here are some pictures from the tour.
In court, they still wear wigs like they used to back in the days.
Another gorgeous cathedral

Beautiful stained glass windows
Once our tour was complete, we got dropped off at the Eureka Skydeck building. We took an elevator up to the 88th floor. Surprisingly, this elevator ride was the quickest thing I have ever been on! It was crazy how fast it got us to the top. Once we got off the elevator, we were in a large room with all glass windows so we could see out to town. Mom, Dad, Siena, and I were all pointing out different buildings that we saw on our tour, and the stadium. I am glad we went on the tour before we did the sky deck, because now we could identify many buildings. This sky deck was amazing. It was such an incredible view. Siena was afraid of heights, so dad recorded me pretending to push her off and she almost started crying!! She was so afraid, but we enjoyed joking around with her. There also was a part of the building that pushed out, and this part costed extra, because it had a glass bottom. We did not do this, but we had the chance to watch it come out, which was pretty cool!
The building all the way to the left is the Eureka Skydeck building. I hope this picture gives you an idea of how high up we were.
Once we finished the sky deck, we grabbed a quick lunch, and then it was time for Siena to fly back to Townsville. I am so glad that she was able to spend some time with my family and I. We were having a great time in Melbourne.
