- Health and Health Care in Australia (615 students enrolled)
- Sport and Exercise Nutrition (approx. 200 people)
- Youth Identity and Popular Culture (25 ish people)
- Regional Features: Place, Location, Australia and Asia in the Cinema (15 ish people)
These classes are similar, but also so different than what I am used to at home. Health and Health Care is very similar to some of the OT classes that I have taken back at home. The main difference, is the size of the class. It is absolutely insane how many people are in this class. It is a lot different than the 20 so people I am used to having in my classes back at Etown. Sport and Exercise Nutrition seems to be very interesting. I only had one lecture, but it should be a great class. We have different tutorials and practicals where we will actually test out the different things we are learning; such as diets, warm ups time.
My week:
Monday- off, so time to catch up on homework, sleep and just relax
Tuesday- Sport lecture from 1-3, Health lecture from 4-6
Wednesday- Health lecture 9-10, Sport tutorial 2-4, Regional Features lecture 5-7
Thursday- Youth lecture 9-11, Youth tutorial 12
Friday- off!
Overall, my schedule is pretty great, so i can't complain at all.
Tuesday night was a big night at Uni. It was toga night! We all got dressed in our togas, and went to the JCR (a hall in my dorm where the whole dorm hangs out). We hung out at the JCR for a couple of hours and then went to the Uni club. We had a great time.

On friday of this weekend (August 1st), my friends and I decided to walk to the Ross River. It was so beautiful here. There is a platform for all of us to lay out on and just enjoy the weather. We even went swimming in the river. There were different kinds of fish (a barramundi), and a few turtles.

Sunday- Andrew ran a 10k at the strand, so we decided to spend the day there with him once he was finished. There were a few races going on, a marathon, 1/2 marathon, 10k, and 5k! He did great, finishing under 50 minutes. The strand was so crowded because of all of the runners, but it was still a great day!
Lastly, and most importantly, my friend gave me a fish! So i have a pet!! His name is Lance!
Love the fish. Don't forget about Bertha. She misses you lots
