Cross Country

So around 6:00 am, we hear the voice of God, which is the loud speaker throughout the dorm. They were playing music, and giving us a wakeup call. Boys from the "Wolfpack", which is basically the same thing as a fraternity, came banging down every door, until you woke up. Cross Country is a big event on campus. It is a 6K run, where each college (dorm) competes. The more participants the better chance of winning, which is why the Wolfpack was waking everyone up. The voice of God was playing Lion King songs, telling us random cross country facts, discussing different types of running shoes, how to stretch and so on. Some songs they were playing over the speaker was "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go", "The Circle of Life" and other random songs. Words cannot begin to express how hyper and out of control people were. The boys on the voice of god, including Leighton, would not stop talking.. They kept the loud speaker on from 6 am until 6:45.. just talking, making sure that everyone was awake. Sara, Becca and I even got a personal shout out. It was an exhausting morning. So many people at the race were hung over from the night before, so we got lucky enough to watch people throw up, all morning.. it was so lovely.

Each college (dorm) does their little chant, trying to better the other colleges, but obviously Uni Hall is the best. To start off the race, the boys run first and then the girls follow. Sara and I ran together, and did great! Even though we got woken up very early, we still had a great day. After the race, we went to breakfast, and then all went back to sleep until lunch time!
