This morning we had an amazing breakfast at a place across the street called Rydges. I had eggs, bacon, toast and fresh fruit. Every place has fresh fruit, it's amazing. Next, we went to woolwarths, which is their grocery store. We walked around the store and just checked out what they have and the prices of their stuff. Me, sara, becca, anna and faith then grabbed a quick lunch at a pizza shop. We split two pies, and all chipped in $5, which is very cheap for Australia. Matt also joined us.
After lunch, we went back to the hostile to get ready for our day of adventure. I went on a muddy atv tour. It was called down an dirty and we rode atv's for two hours on different crazy trails in the mud. I was the the first person who was right behind the tour guide and he purposely kept kicking up mud at me, so eventually he taught me how to do it, and then i was able to get everyone else all muddy.
On the down and dirty pamphlet, they have pictures of different groups, and if your picture is good enough, they will put yours in. The whole time we were thinking of something creative because we wanted our picture in the pamphlet. We ended up having Andrew sit on an ATV, and us girls picked him up. It is difficult to tell in the picture, if you look closely, the tires are actually off the ground and we did lift him. We hope it is good enough to make the pamphlet!
We also fed kangaroos, and saw a joey! It has only been out of the pouch for a few days, and it was very unstable. Kind of creepy looking, but very cute.
Okay, so I did the craziest thing. At the atv place, there are green ants. They are all over and have a little sack on their tails. The sack contains lemon/lime flavoring. The aboriginals use the sacks on these ants to flavor their water. So our tour guide takes one, and eats it! I was disgusted. Then he showed Anna how to do it, so she tried it and said it tasted good! So I was thinking, alright I have to try this. I am only in Australia once, I have to try everything possible. So I did... I tried it, and surprisingly, it was really good! I was just happy to try new things.
Once we got back to the hostile, Sara and I went for a run. We ran for about 40 minutes. We ran by the lagoon so we even stopped at the exercise station and did arms and abs. The stations are so cool. I wish we had them at home.
After the run, we all showered and got ready for dinner. For dinner, we went back to Rydges across the street and had a barbecue. I have two chicken breasts, a hot dog, and potato salad. It was soooo good. I ate a ton, because I wanted to enjoy the good food, since everyone said the food at my university is terrible.
Once dinner finished, we walked back to the hostile and got ready for the night. We started at Gilligans night club which is our hostile. The place is awesome. We hung out there for a bit and then walked to P. J. Obriens because they had free champagne for girls started at 10. This bar was seriously awesome. It was such a blast. We stayed there from 10-2:30 in the morning and then finally walked back. It was a great night.

Eventually we fell asleep, and woke up around 7 to get ready for breakfast. We ate breakfast at Gilligans and then packed our suitcases up and got ready to leave. We are now on a 4 hour bus ride to Townsville. I cannot wait to just be in my dorm and unpack!
